Here, 10kg+ Golden Trevally, longtail tuna over 20kg and even small black marlin to 50kg are caught sight casting in the clear shallow waters on the lee (western) side of Fraser Island. In addition to this, mackerel, sharks and other pelagic species frequent these sheltered waters rounding up and busting into bait balls being a regular occurrence during the summer months.
- If fishing for barra, jacks and threadies are more your style then the Great Sandy straights with its immense mangrove lined rivers and creeks offer fantastic fly and lure fishing potential.
- Located only 3 hours drive north of Brisbane (Queensland Australia), with direct flights from either Brisbane with Qantas or Sydney with, Virgin and Jetstar.
- Fishing the sheltered waters of Fraser Island (the worlds largest sand island) offers many options, sometimes its hard to choose which direction to travel or what species to pursue but with your experienced fishing guide Pete Fry you are assured to be put in the right place at the right time.

A taxi from the airport to Urangan costs about $15 - $20. I am happy to provide transport to and from your accommodation in Hervey Bay on the day of your charter if this might be helpful to you.
