Pete has lived in Cairns (far north Queensland) for the last 10 years working in aquaculture research for the QDPI and doing deckwork on gameboats such as Moana II & III, New Moon II & III, and Air Hawk.
He has caught his lions share of black marlin, including an estimated grander on 50lb standup. He has achieved overall Champion Angler 2002 for the Half Moon Bay Gamefishing Club in Yorkeys Knob, Queensland.
It has all served him well for a career in the charter fishing industry.
Pete has fished and worked on 3 seperate trips to PNG, participating in 2 National Gamefishing Titles in Rabual and also travelled to South America sucessfully chasing bonefish and Vanuatu on fishing holidays. He has fished in every state of Australia and worked for 2 years guiding in the Northern Teritory on board Auriga Bay II doing live-a-boards www.topendexpeditions.com and more recently guiding people at Andrew Ettinghousen's (ET) new sport fishing lodge on Groote Island http://www.escapesportfishing.com
All in all it has put Pete in good stead for fishfinding abilities and experience to adapt and change with the environment to best get a consistant positve result for the client. So whether it be billfish or barra, bonefish or bread and butter, Pete has the knowledge and experience to make it all happen and handle the situation when it counts creating the memories for your lifetime.
